Thanks to endless love and self-sacrificing dedication of former presidents and all the members, the PKETA has grown into a community of ELT professionals highly recognized at home and abroad as well.

This is well illustrated by the ongoing activities the PKETA engages in. English Language Teaching, the quarterly journal of the PKETA accredited by the Korea Research Foundation, serves as a vital forum for exchanges of research ideas and outcomes. International conferences are held annually in fall to offer
a venue for sharing expertise in ELT and discussing pedagogical agendas. In addition, the PKETA maintains sister relationships with ELT-related associations in several foreign countries and those at home including The Korea English Teachers Association and The Global English Teachers Association.

Such brilliant growth must continue in the years to come. It definitely will if and only if all the members show unfailing interest in the PKETA and actively participate in what the PKETA does. For the next two years, I will do my best to hear your voices and explore ways to enhance research and professional standards of all members from primary to tertiary educational institutions.

I hope we will have more opportunities to share our love for ELT and our expertise in the field. I wish I can talk to you more often face-to-face or at least online. Lastly, let me tell you that I need your encouragement and guidance at all times. Please remember: Two heads are better than one!
